Economics Degree and Hospitality Training
Imke was born and raised in Germany and completed her degree in Economics in 2000. She then began her hospitality apprenticeship at one of Germany’s leading five-star hotels.
Four Seasons
After completing her apprenticeship, Imke joined Four Seasons, where she spent more than 12 years building her career across Germany, the UK and the US. During that time, she supported the opening of new hotels, progressed into senior operational roles including Hotel Assistant Manager and Assistant Director of Rooms, and later moved into Human Resources as Quality Assurance and Learning Manager. In that role, she oversaw and developed training for the entire flight crew for the new Four Seasons Jet experience, with a focus on company standards and procedures.
Luxury Restaurant Business, HR Department Set-Up
In 2015, she joined a luxury restaurant business to build its HR department from scratch, establishing systems and procedures for the restaurant and its sister properties. During this time, she also completed her CIPD Level 5 Diploma in HRM.
White House Historical Association, Director of HR and Operations
In late 2016, Imke and her husband moved back to the US, where she joined the White House Historical Association, a nonprofit and nonpartisan organisation, as Director of HR and Operations. In this role, she worked closely with White House staff on various nonprofit projects. Even after leaving the US, she continued working with the Association as an independent contractor until 2022.
Recruitment Manager, Government Organisation
From 2021 to 2022, Imke worked in Germany as Recruitment Manager for a government organisation before moving with her husband to Scotland and later back to England.
International HR and Operations Experience
Imke has international experience across operations and HR, having worked across a wide range of fast-paced, world-class luxury organisations. She is passionate about helping businesses create better workplace environments and strengthen employee relations. Her strengths include people leadership, planning and organisation, and training and development.
