Career Summary

Paul joined the Lancashire Constabulary in 1985 and was posted direct to Burnley. Having grown up and been schooled in Blackpool Paul had to adapt very quickly to young single life in a hugely different cultural environment, this was to be a steep learning curve and one which he embraced.

After several years Paul became a ‘Tutor Constable’, coaching and mentoring probationer constables. This led to a thirst to develop himself as a National Police Trainer which he achieved by 1996. Paul then spent 4 years working at Regional Police Training Centres and was responsible for leading the establishment of satellite training centres in Harrogate, Warrington and Preston.

After 19 years police service in 2004 Paul was seconded via the Foreign & Commonwealth Office to serve in Kosovo to assist with the development of Leadership and Management Training at the Kosovo Police Service School. As Head of this division he had responsibility for developing curriculum as well as the trainers tasked with delivering it.
It was whilst in Kosovo for 15 months that Paul realised his future lay within training and development of people’s skills and abilities.

Over the last 16 years Paul has had many differing roles both internationally in Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Ghana, North Macedonia, Myanmar and the Cayman Islands and in the UK for the ONS (Office for National Statistics), G4S, Orbit Services, STAR Academy and BRC Promotions. These have led to him gaining a wealth of multi-cultural professional experience within training, coaching, mentoring, communication skills and customer facing roles.

As well as being a qualified National Police Trainer Paul has a NEBOSH Health & Safety certificate and Level 3 Award in Education & Training. He has enhanced DBS clearance and SC security clearance.
