Career Summary

Ben’s career has been dedicated to HR having initially completed his undergraduate degree in this field. Following university, he completed a graduate scheme for a well-known MNE in the private sector prior to moving into an HR role at the NHS. His public sector experience involved working for a highly unionised trust with approximately 6,000 employees.

Succeeding Ben’s public sector experience, he moved to one of the largest international aerospace component manufacturers. He managed HR for one of the group’s sites whilst contributing and implementing significant change management initiatives. During his tenure in this role he achieved chartered status, an accolade recognising the work he carried out for the conglomerate.

Ben’s private sector experience also extends to the Royal Mail Group, a renowned blue-chip organisation. Within this national role he delivered pragmatic advice to Senior Directors across the group in relation to highly complex and contentious issues in order to safeguard the organisation from legal proceedings and enhance organisational development.

The decision to leave the private sector was relatively simple for Ben as he made a concerted effort to possess public, private & non-profit sector HR experience. The regional HR role he holds for a registered charity/social enterprise means he has HR responsibility for the North of England.

Delivering HR support, advice and guidance by partnering organisations is what Ben consistently delivers at both operational and strategic levels. Having worked in HR across all sectors combined with a strong education in the field ensures that he is able to enhance businesses and organisations in all of their people management needs.
