Adrienne Bennett

Career Summary

Adrienne joins us following various senior HR roles in the aerospace, data science, nuclear and chemical sectors, supporting a wide range of teams and functions. 

She started her career in 1991 as an Aerodynamicist on military aircraft at BAE Systems Warton and in 1997 she moved to Head Office at Farnborough to set up and manage their new charity programme and then manage their fast-track graduate engineering programme.

Adrienne returned to Warton as HR Manager for Engineering during which she designed and delivered an innovative process for redeployment and redundancy on a critical cost base reduction programme.

A move to Head of HR supporting teams such as Sales, Marketing, Project Management and Finance then gave her responsibility for managing the full range of HR processes, and at the same time Adrienne achieved her CIPD Chartered status.

She then moved to Vertex Data Science in Liverpool, as the HR Manager for technology and business consultancy where she worked on a variety of key projects including organisational change, TUPE, changes to terms & conditions and employee consultation.

Adrienne subsequently joined EDF as Head of HR, Communications and Occupational Health for Heysham 2 nuclear power station, where her focus was on leadership team development, employee and union consultation, resource planning and transforming the HR and Communication functions.

In 2013 she moved to Victrex in Thornton Cleveleys as Strategic HR Business Partner where she defined and delivered strategic people projects for its growth strategy. Adrienne worked with many different leadership teams – Medical, Aerospace, R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, SHE, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement – on a range of transformational people projects including organisational design and restructures, people strategies, leadership team development, reward, technical competence frameworks, employee and trade union consultation, consultative agreements, pay negotiation, shift pattern reviews and designing and delivering people solutions to achieve advanced quality standards accreditation.

She is skilled in job evaluation, organisational design, conflict management resolution, coaching and mentoring. Adrienne particularly enjoys working in technology and engineering businesses and is passionate about helping employees, teams and leaders perform at their best so they can deliver their own business strategies.
